What does it mean to open a new Loop?
You will open a new Loop when you receive either a Max Performance or Active Recovery Daily Outlook and set a goal using the Loops Goal Builder. Opening a new Loop means that your HRV has recovered back to a balanced state, meaning that you are ready to push yourself again.
Progressing through your Loop
Loops are designed to guide you from Max Performance to Rest. You can progress through an open Loop by recording your HRV each morning and setting corresponding Activity Goals. Your progression will come to a halt and your Loop will be force closed , if you miss two consecutive HRV Readings via Breathe Session or pass on two opportunities to create a goal - a combination of these two types of inactivity will also close your Loop.
Closing your Loop
To close your Loop you must get a Rest Day Daily Outlook. Achieving a Rest Day means you’ve pushed your body to its limits, and need time to recover to bring yourself back to optimal.
You might be able to do 6 consecutive workouts without receiving a Rest Day. In this case, you will automatically receive a Rest Day and your Loop will be closed and considered complete on the 7th Day.
You will be able to open a new Loop once your body has recovered and is able to handle stress and effort again. This could take multiple rest days but you will know when you are ready to train again once you get a Max Performance or Rest Day outlook.
